Customize Your Archival Storage Solution
DataFirst’s family of products gives you the ability to manage, archive, retrieve, migrate and replicate data, all based on open architecture designs that work seamlessly with Windows® software.
Large or Small, We Do it All
DataFirst can install archives to meet needs of any size, in addition to standard configuration sizes. The standard configurations range between 3TB and 48TB systems. Need more space? Scaling your system to a larger size is only a phone call away.
Blu-ray™ All the Way
Interested in cutting-edge technology? DataFirst not only installs standard spinning disk RAIDs, but also DVD and Blu-ray™ systems. Standard DVD media can hold a little under 5GB per unit, whereas each Blu-ray™ disc can hold up to 25GB. Your system can include as many discs as necessary which allows for a virtually unlimited amount of storage space.
Need it Now?
All DataFirst systems include a Real-time upgrade, which stores the data in a cache for immediate, on-demand retrieval. Normally, you would have to wait for the system to load your disc and display your data. But the Real-time cache sits between you and the archive, holding all the most recent and frequently used data, making it immediately available upon request.
Sample Configurations
1. Cadet
This configuration consists of a single desktop-sized computer and is ideal for small clinics and businesses.
2. Spinning Disk Only
This is our standard configuration. It consists of an array of spinning disk hard drives. These systems are available in a single RAID configuration but can easily be built with an additional RAID array to provide replication of your data.
3. Real-time Blu-Ray™
With this configuration, not only do you get the capacity and reliability of optical media, but the immediate on-demand speed of a spinning disk. A real-time Blu-Ray™ archive is super fast, since it stores a copy of your data in a mirrored cache that’s accessible at all times. Customers who want, or who are required to have, an optical copy of their data prefer this archive system.
4. Remote Archive
The Remote Archive option means your data are kept safe in the event of a flood or fire at your facility—all your data are stored off-site to ensure maximum protection. The system creates a second copy on an archive (optical or spinning disk) in a location of your choice that can be retrieved in case of an emergency.
