Beau Jones

President and CEO

Beau is an innovative and mission-driven leader with more than 30 years of Healthcare IT and entrepreneurial leadership. As DataFirst’s president and CEO, Beau is passionate about healthcare and focuses his team and the company on designing the platforms, technology, and solutions that transform healthcare ecosystems into highly efficient care delivery solutions. His commitment to innovate and transform has led DataFirst to becoming the leading provider of data migration and image interoperability services in healthcare today.

Prior to joining DataFirst, Beau served as Vice President at Philips Healthcare where he led the Cardiology Imaging and Informatic Solutions group for North America. Prior to Philips, Beau served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Witt Biomedical, a Cardiology Monitoring and Imaging company, where he managed the company’s product, marketing and sales strategy, until its acquisition by Philips in 2006.

Beau earned a Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree (B.Arch.) from Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture and Urban Design and attended the Kellogg School of Management Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern.

He is the founder of Nica Madera, a charitable organization that is breaking the cycle of chronic poverty in Nicaragua by partnering with local craftsmen to globally market and sell their products.

Beau lives in Raleigh NC with his wife and three children.

Jake Berg

Founder and Chairman

The Founder of DataFirst, Jake Berg has been an integral part of all aspects of corporate design and development. He has an undeniable appreciation for his team having submersed himself early in the daily functions of the company. His parallel efforts resulted in continued growth, industry alliances and partnerships with the largest healthcare organizations in the world. Jake’s passions extend beyond DataFirst in his love of travel and commitment to seeing the world. One small piece at a time. His love of music, art, aviation, coastal destinations and sharing unique experiences with others aligns perfectly with his deep appreciation for people and his family. A loving husband and dedicated father to two boys, Jake’s principled values merge seamlessly with his professional methods.

Christian Morin

Chief Technology Officer

Christian is the Chief Technology Officer and responsible for designing and building the Silverback suite of intelligent workflow systems and solutions. He leads a team of U.S. based developers focused on creating industry leading solutions for the most complex imaging challenges found in healthcare today. His technical expertise and intellectual curiosity drive Christian to deliver cutting-edge innovation and inspire the next generation of engineers.

Since joining the company in 2013, Christian has leveraged his deep knowledge in health informatics and embedded systems design to create the industry leading solution in interoperability and imaging workflows. Prior to DataFirst, Christian led the invasive cardiology engineering team at Philips Healthcare as Senior Director of Engineering. He led multiple international engineering teams in the design and development of new and existing products. As a principal engineer and director of R&D, Christian created several new product families from concept through development.

For more than ten years, Christian has been acting as a mentor and coach for FIRST(For Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology) Robotics throughout Florida. His dedication has allowed local community youth to develop and foster their appreciation for STEM.

Christian earned his Computer Science degree from Cégep de Trois Rivières (CEGEP). He continues to participate in many industry forums from DICOM standards to artificial intelligence in imaging.

Christian lives outside of Melbourne, Florida with his wife and two sons.

Nate Huber

Global Vice President of Sales

Nate serves as the Global Vice President of Sales, leading an experienced sales team focused on providing partners with tailored workflow solutions, backed with the best support team in the industry.  He partners with our current and prospective customers to provide insights and feedback that help shape our product roadmap. His strategic drive focuses on partnership growth, ensuring we provide the right solutions to fit our customers’ individual needs. Nate has a long history and passion for working hand-in-hand with healthcare leaders to provide access to decision-critical information for patient care.

Before joining DataFirst, Nate served as Business Leader for Cardiology Informatics at Philips Healthcare, leading the business segment for North America. With over 15 years in the healthcare IT industry, he has extensive experience in clinical and technical workflow for healthcare organizations.  Hi background includes management of service delivery and support contracting for hundreds of hospital organizations.  Prior to Philips, Nate also spent eight years in the pharmaceutical industry with Merck, working with healthcare organizations and physicians in various therapeutic areas.

Nate earned MBA and Bachelor of Business Marketing degrees from California State University, Fresno.  He enjoys volunteering time coaching youth sports and his helping lead a local school board of directors.

Nate resides in Clovis, CA with his wife and two sons.

Brad Pate

Director of Professional Services

Brad serves as the Director of Professional Services Services leading a team of industry seasoned Project Managers in the planning and execution of organizational goals and objectives. He provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery. Brad has a sincere passion for guiding, mentoring, and developing his team to exceed customer expectations.

Before joining DataFirst in April of 2020, Brad served as the Director of Professional Services at eRad. With over 20 years in the healthcare IT industry, Brad refined his skills and leadership experience in positions at the Cleveland Clinic, Agfa Healthcare, and Sectra. Brad brings a unique mix of technical and operational expertise to his team and the organization.

He began his career as a Military Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army after studying Business and Finance at Clemson University.

Brad currently resides in Greenwood, SC with his wife and two sons.

David Scheyer

Director of Software Services

David leads the Software Services program and focuses on the development, management and deployment of our platform and applications into the commercial space. In this role, he works closely with all functional areas developing strategies and plans to launch and support solutions in the market.

Prior to joining DataFirst in July of 2021, he spent several years with Fujifilm Sonosite as the Director of Strategy and Business Development with a focus on technology transformation and AI. David has held various leadership positions in technology companies ranging from giants like Texas Instruments, AT&T and T-Mobile to small technology startups.

David holds a master’s degree in business administration from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

David lives with his family in Seattle Washington.

Tony Palmer

Executive Director of Engineering Services

Tony has a proven history of success in over 30 years of software development and leadership; the majority focused on Healthcare Imaging and IT. He is passionate about working with customers to deliver exceptional solutions and service. As the Executive Director of Engineering Services, Tony’s primary responsibility is the operational management and leadership of all external software programs and migration services for DataFirst.

Prior to joining DataFirst, Tony served in key leadership roles to build Mach7 Technologies from a startup to a publicly traded company. As Vice President of Global Professional Services, he built a global service and support organization at Mach7. He then drove customer-focused excellence into the development team as Vice President of Engineering for Mach7. Before Mach7, his 11 years as a software engineer and architect at IDX and GE Healthcare laid a solid foundation in healthcare imaging and integration using HL7 and DICOM.

Tony earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine, where he earned a degree in Computer Science.

Tony lives in Williston, Vermont, with his amazing wife and three daughters.
