The SilverBack Workflow Engine maintains a database of all DICOM patients, image modalities, study dates and related information so the Workflow Engine can automatically detect all life cycle points.
What are the Benefits?
- The ability to manage data according to user-defined life cycle points provides the facility with an automated, efficient and fast process to remove, copy and flag data according to the facility's preferences.
- The Life Cycle module also provides a process to ensure that space is regularly made available on the primary storage system. That's because the Workflow Engine can use data age as a reference to copy data from a primary storage system to a secondary storage system, and then automatically delete the backed-up data from the primary system. This process opens space on the primary storage system for newer data.
